VoIP
VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is a technology that allows phone calls to be made over an internet connection instead of traditional phone lines. It works by converting your voice into a digital signal that travels over the internet, and it can be used with various devices like computers, smartphones, or VoIP-enabled phones. This offers a flexible, often cost-effective alternative to traditional telephony, supporting features like caller ID, call forwarding, and more.
How it works
Converts voice to data: Your voice is converted from analog sound waves into digital data packets.
Transmits over IP networks: These digital packets are sent over the internet (an IP network) to the recipient's device.
Reconverts to voice: The receiving device converts the digital packets back into audible sound waves.
