Scrolling

index img

Scrolling is the computer action of moving content, such as text or images, up, down, or sideways on a screen to view parts that are not initially visible. This is done by using a mouse scroll wheel, a trackpad, a touchscreen swipe, or by clicking and dragging a scrollbar. Scrolling is used for browsing documents, web pages, and other applications.

How it works

Vertical scrolling: Moving content up or down to see different sections.

Horizontal scrolling: Moving content left or right, often used for wide tables or images.

Scroll bar: A visual indicator on the side of a window, with a "thumb" that can be dragged to move through content.

Infinite scrolling: A design approach where new content is continuously loaded as the user scrolls to the bottom of a page.

Smooth scrolling: A feature that animates the movement for a more fluid, less jarring experience.
