RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is a web technology that uses a standardized format to distribute frequently updated content from websites, such as news headlines, blog posts, and podcasts. Instead of visiting multiple websites, users can subscribe to an RSS feed and receive updates in a single, dedicated application called an RSS reader. This allows for efficient content aggregation and automatic updates, saving users time and effort.

How it works

Publishers: Website owners create an RSS feed, which is a file (often in XML format) containing new content and its metadata like publication dates and authors.

Subscribers: Users subscribe to a site's RSS feed using an RSS reader, which can be a web-based, desktop, or mobile application.

Content aggregation: The RSS reader pulls content from all the feeds a user has subscribed to and presents it in a single, organized list, ensuring the user doesn't miss new posts.
