Node
A computer "node" is a fundamental building block in a network, representing a device that can send, receive, or forward information. It can be any endpoint or connection point, such as a computer, server, router, printer, or sensor, and is a crucial component for communication and resource sharing within a network.
In computer networks
Endpoint: Nodes can be end-user devices like laptops or smartphones that originate or receive data.
Intermediary Devices: They can also be devices that manage network traffic, such as routers, switches, and hubs.
Data communication: Nodes are active electronic devices capable of sending, receiving, and forwarding information.
Connectivity: In a network topology, nodes are interconnected points that create the structure of the network.
