LPI
LPI is an acronym that can refer to several different computer and technology terms, most commonly Lines Per Inch (a measure of printing resolution). In printing, a higher LPI value indicates a finer, more detailed image.
Lines Per Inch (LPI)
Description: A measurement of resolution in commercial printing, representing the number of lines in a halftone screen per inch.
What it means: A higher LPI means more lines, resulting in a finer screen of dots that creates a more detailed and sharper image.
Example: Newsprint may be printed at 85 LPI, while high-quality magazines can use 150 LPI or higher on glossy paper.
Other meanings of LPI
