Cut
In a computer, to "cut" is to remove selected text, files, or images from their original location and place a temporary copy onto the clipboard so they can be pasted into a new location. This action creates a move operation; the original content is removed, unlike "copy," which leaves the original intact and places only a duplicate on the clipboard.
How to Cut
Select: the content you wish to move.
Initiate the cut command: in one of these ways:
Keyboard shortcut: Press Ctrl + X (Windows) or Cmd + X (Mac).
Right-click menu: Right-click on the selected content and choose the "Cut" option from the context menu.
Paste: the content in a new location by right-clicking and selecting "Paste," or by pressing Ctrl + V (Windows) or Cmd + V (Mac).
