TV Tuner

index img

A TV tuner is a computer component, available as internal cards or external USB devices, that allows a computer to receive and display television signals, effectively turning the computer into a TV or a digital video recorder (DVR). These tuners act as a bridge between the television signal and your computer, enabling you to watch live TV, record shows onto your hard drive for later viewing, and even manage a TV schedule. They connect to antenna or cable inputs and work with software to let you select channels and schedule recordings.

Types of TV Tuners

Internal Cards: These are installed directly into the computer's PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) slot.

External USB Boxes: These are plug-and-play devices that connect to an available USB port on your computer.
